Thanksgiving is over and our thoughts are now turning toward Christmas. Here in Houston we are blessed with relatively warm weather all year long. So, although we may not see the cold and snow that much of the country associates with winter, we thought we would share with you some of our kind of winter fun – the IZKALI® Frostbite. It is a new IZKALI® Tequila winter cocktail recipe – a decadent chocolate winter delight, featuring our ultra smooth and flavorful IZKALI® Añejo Tequila.
The Mixologist:
The creative mind behind this new winter treat is Curtis Cheney, Head Barman for Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in Ft. Worth, Texas. With 16 years of experience behind the bar, Curtis is a 4th generation bartender and graduate of Paul Pacult’s 5 day bar masters class. We are extremely pleased that he has created this fabulous new winter cocktail treat exclusively for us using IZKALI® Añejo Tequila.
The Recipe:

- 1.5 oz IZKALI® Añejo Tequila
- 1.0 oz Heavy Cream
- 1.5 oz White Creme de Cacao
- 0.5 oz White Creme de Menthe
- Premium Chocolate Shavings
In an ice filled stainless steel shaker combine all ingredients except chocolate shavings. Shake for 7-10 seconds. Pour into chilled martini glass and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top as a garnish.
